Politics is Power

Satyagraha (/ˌsætɪəˈɡrɑːhɑː/; Sanskrit: सत्याग्रह satyāgraha), loosely translated as "insistence on truth" (satya 'truth'; agraha 'insistence') or "soul force" or "truth force," is a particular philosophy and practice within the broader overall category generally known as nonviolent resistance or civil resistance.

The term "satyagraha" was coined and developed by Mahatma Gandhi. He deployed satyagraha in the Indian independence movement and also during his earlier struggles in South Africa for Indian rights.

Satyagraha theory influenced Nelson Mandela's struggle in South Africa under apartheid, Martin Luther King, Jr.'s and James Bevel's campaigns during the civil rights movement in the United States, and many other social justice and similar movements.

Satyagraha is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi's invention. It did work. It is all about truth. It is very difficult to adopt. Very few did adopt Gandhi's Satyagraha.

In the recent years, there was an attempt to adopt non-violence in the name of Occupy Movement. it didn't work well. In fact, it ended up new violence; such as pepper spray on students, etc. So, people gave up non-violence. Non-violence is not born out of love; it is just an other form of violence.

Delivering the acceptance speech, Mr.Alagiri said that the Thirumangalam by-election was the turning point in his political life and after the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won by a margin of 40,000 votes, both Mr. Karunanidhi and Finance Minister K. Anbazhagan gave him the post of South Zone Organising Secretary of the party. “Whatever I have achieved till now in politics, I owe them all to the people,” he said referring to cadres.

Thirumangalam formula is Alagiri's invention. It did work. It is an easy formula; so others also adopted with ease and comfort. When all have adopted it, it stops working.

Then, political parties in Tamilnadu invented free TV; free Fan; free Mixie. This free stuff is adopted by all in Tamilnadu.

It does work. But not very effective.

Obama was the first one started effectively using facebook. In fact, that time facebook was at the very early stage.

Obama's landmark victory was due, in part, to a groundswell of support among young Americans.
Early in his campaign, political pollsters were observing that Obama was "rocking the youth vote." This proved true: Exit polls revealed that Obama had won nearly 70 percent of the vote among Americans under age 25—the highest percentage since U.S. exit polling began in 1976.

Obama enjoyed a groundswell of support among, for lack of a better term, the Facebook generation. He will be the first occupant of the White House to have won a presidential election on the Web.

This election was the first in which all candidates—presidential and congressional—attempted to connect directly with American voters via online social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace. It has even been called the "Facebook election." It is no coincidence that one of Obama's key strategists was 24-year-old Chris Hughes, a Facebook cofounder. It was Hughes who masterminded the Obama campaign's highly effective Web blitzkrieg—everything from social networking sites to podcasting and mobile messaging.

Facebook was not unaware of its suddenly powerful role in American electoral politics. During the presidential campaign, the site launched its own forum to encourage online debates about issues. Facebook also teamed up with ABC for election coverage and political forums. And CNN teamed up with YouTube to hold presidential debates.

Now, politicians all around the world has been extensively adopting Facebook. Facebook has now become a tool for politics for global citizens.

In fact, wherever you live, your campaign is financially supported by America.
Putin is right. Google and all web tools are from CIA.

Now, Narendra Modi invented Politics 2.0

Narendra Modi's invention is much much improved from Obama version.

As we see the result of this new invention, everybody is convinced that it did work; in fact, very well.

Almost all would like to adopt this new tool.

So, next time, as everyone adopts, it may not work effectively.

As Narendra Modi got Amit Shah for the traditional skill sets; and imported Desi professionals for high-tech, all others also could do it. Perhaps they may have to pay higher price for Desi Professionals.

In fact, technology professionals now look at politics as a kind of software.
They have all tools to capture messages; GPS location based services; recommendation; Big Data.
They also master the art of management; from project management to crisis management.
They got bored with air-conditioned room job. They would like to go onto the field and work with people, along with their mobile technology.

They are available in plenty. Almost all political parties would invest in those professionals.

So, this 300 plus; Narendra Modi will never see it again.

Google and so many other technology companies invested on Barack Obama. Many joined in his science and technology committee. It all went very well for a year or two. But then, the relationship got broken. Obama was not listening to Google Eric Schmidt. Had they continued their relationship, building and maintaining a web site is cake walk for Eric Schmidt.

This is what, they used to do, when they retire. Once they got money; and fame, then they start the Foundation and go and help people all around the world. In that capacity, they get to meet world politicians; president of a country, etc.

Now, they would like to get involved in direct politics.

Netflix is in Los Gatos; Silicon Valley.
It is a technology firm; but now in content business.
House of Cards is not just another tele serial.
It is a powerful transformation tool.

It is all about transforming politics in Washington. These technology companies CEO, almost all are getting into serious politics.

They enjoyed technology; they enjoyed stock options and bonus; they enjoyed going around the world; they enjoyed fishing; they enjoyed sex; now they would like to enjoy, power.

Politics is Power.

They are coming; coming in big way; coming from Silicon Valley to Washington.
