Sundara Kanda

Sundara Kanda (सुंदरकाण्ड), literally "beautiful episode/book", is the fifth book in the epic the Ramayana. It depicts the adventures of Hanuman. The original Sundara Kanda is in Sanskrit and was composed by Valmiki, who was the first to scripturally record the Ramayana.

Sundara Kanda is the only chapter of the Ramayana in which the hero is not Rama, but rather Hanuman.

Hanuman's selflessness, strength, and devotion to Rama are emphasized in the text. Hanuman was fondly called Sundara by his mother Anjani and Sage Valmiki chose this name over others as this kanda deals mainly with Hanuman's journey to Lanka.


The Sundara Kanda forms the heart of Valmiki's Ramayana and consists of a detailed, vivid account of Hanuman's adventures. After learning about Sita, Hanuman assumes a gargantuan form and makes a colossal leap across the ocean to Lanka. Here, Hanuman explores the demon's city and spies on Ravana. He locates Sita in Ashoka grove, who is wooed and threatened by Ravana and his rakshasis to marry Ravana. He reassures her, giving Rama's signet ring as a sign of good faith. He offers to carry Sita back to Rama, however she refuses, reluctant to allow herself to be touched by a male other than her husband. She says that Rama himself must come and avenge the insult of her abduction.

Hanuman then wreaks havoc in Lanka by destroying trees and buildings, and killing Ravana's warriors. He allows himself to be captured and produced before Ravana. He gives a bold lecture to Ravana to release Sita. He is condemned and his tail is set on fire, but he escapes his bonds and, leaping from roof to roof, sets fire to Ravana's citadel and makes the giant leap back from the island. The joyous search party returns to Kishkindha with the news.

Beautiful. Sundar Hai! Bahut Sundar Hai!!

Could we change it for modern times:

Rama marries Sita.
Ravana takes Sita to Ceylon.
Rama finds Hanuman.
Rama asks Hanuman to fetch Sita.
Hanuman finds Sita.
But, this modern Hanuman try to run away with Sita;
Hanuman is not bringing Sita back to Rama.

Even to write such a sentence, feels yucky.
It is Yucky Kanda; not Sundara Kanda.

But this is what happening right now.

Lal Kishan Advani is Rama.
India is Sita.
Congress is Ravana.
In fact, Congress is Ravana; 
having a close relationship with Ceylon.
Lal Kishan Advani's Hanuman is Sriman Narendra Modi.

Lal Kishan Advani sends his Hanuman, 
Shriman Narendra Modi to fetch Sita.
But, this modern Hanuman try to run away with Sita.

This is what happening in almost every home in India. In family, everyone plays politics. When the dad dies; or dad may be still alive; but the sons; and also daughters enter into complex political game in taking control over the family wealth.

They read Ramayana; Mahabhratha and Bhagwad Gita. Also they read Ken Follett; Dan Brown and so many others. They are now confused with too much of smartness; cleverness and cunningness.

Narendra Modi doesn't need to learn lesson from Ganga Ma. If Narendra Modi could open up his senses and see, what is happening right in his home or in his office.

Naren. Take a fresh look at Amit.

Amit is Hanuman.
Amit may not know all those modern management terms;
but Amit is Hanuman;
in fact, Amit Shah is human;
real, wonderful human being.

No pretension; real; what do you see is the real human being.
Amit may be good or bad; but he is real.

It is okay to be BAD. In fact, bad people cause limited damage.

But, nowadays human beings pretend to be good; or pretend to be bad.

Everybody acts; continuously acts; acts through out his or her life.

Only those Film actors live a life of real.

Amit Shah is undergoing transformation now.
Incarnate Now.
Incarnation is new life; new avataar.

You don't need to physically die.
When you transform; you get a new life.

Narendra Modi was not the root cause for demolition of Ayodhya.
So, Narendra Modi has some goodwill of god.
That is the reason, Narendra Modi has got his Hanuman, Amit Shah.

We don't call Hanuman a slave or servant to Rama. That is our culture.

Lal Kishan Advani was the root cause for demolition of Ayodhya.
So, Lal Kishan Advani's Hanuman goes against him.

Everything has been changed dramatically in this two decades.
We cannot blame Internet; or Globalization; or Western culture.

Western culture is not new to us.
They had been living with us for more than three hundred years.
In fact, the British officers were started living a life of Rama and Sita.
One man marries one woman.

So, Narendra Modi, you located Sita.
Now, let your Rama have Sita.

There are no choices.
Only confused mind has so many choices.
When human beings sense; they could perceive.

So, the perception is:
Lal Kishan Advani is the Prime Minister of India.
Narendra Modi is the Deputy Prime Minster of India.

Nobody feels guilty.
Everything would be wonderful.
It is Sundara Kanda.
Anything else is, Yucky Kanda.
