PM is just another MP

PM is just another MP.

Yes. Prime Minister of India is just another Member of Parliament.

Constitution doesn't provide any special privilege to the Prime Minister.

In fact, with the curent constitution, no Prime Minister could perform.

When Jawaharlal Nehru was the Prime Minister, he had respects from the people. People's support gave  Jawaharlal Nehru, the power to be the Chief Executive.

Then Lal Bahadur Sastri was the Prime Minister. Moraji Desai, Charan Singh, Deva Gowda, Gujral, Narashima Rao. Rajiv Gandhi and Manmohan Singh.

Indira Gandhi had the people support.

Nowadays, no leader has the full support of the people. With propaganda, it appears to be the support from the people. The truth is, once propaganda is stopped, people will forget them.

So, constitutional amendements are necessary for any one to perform effectively.

In the present constitution, the Prime Minister is just another Member of Parliament.

In the Parliament, all members are equal.

There is no special seat for the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister may sit in the first row; that's all.

No special privilege for the Prime Minister in the Parliament.

Prime Minister alone cannot make any law. All MPs participate in making law with equal privilege.

Prime Minister cannot veto any bill passed in the Parliament.

Now, coming to stability, the Prime Minister has no stability.

Prime Minister may lose the job on any day any time. The job is not even guaranteed for a month or a year.

But, the nation expects excellent performance from the Prime Minister.

Cabinet. Prime Minister have no rights to choose the cabinet. Prime Minister cannot delegate responsibility to any other effective executive. Prime Minister needs to carry the burden of the cabinet.

Cabinet positions to the fellow MPs.

Most of the MPs are good in policy making; but they fail in execution.

So, the Prime Minister need to carry the dead weight of the cabinet on his or her shoulder.

So, the Prime Minister has no stability; need to carry dead weight of fellow legislative members.

And, the Prime Minister has no authority.

All 543 Members of Parliament have total and complete authority. But not the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister has the responsibility to take the nation forward.

In the current constitution, no one could effectively perform as the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister as the Chief Executive of the country needs to have stability for five years.

The Prime Minster needs to have authority to deliver results.

In the current constitution, MPs have more power and privilege than the Prime Minister.

All MPs are equal on the floor of the parliament.

Prime Minister and other Ministers - appear to be larger than others. That's not true.

Another important fact is, there is no physical divison that ruling party and opposition party.

There is nothing mentioned in the constitution about this divison.

Parliament is one whole branch; responsible for making law for the nation.

All MPs are equally responsible and have equal authority.

In law making every vote counts on the floor of the parliament.

It is not one vote carry plus ten points and other vote carry minus five points.

All MPs come to the parliament after winning the election.

No MP is a loser.

People elected them and send them as their representative to the parliament.

543 people representatives are here to represent the 814 million citizens of India.

So, don't worry about the Prime Minister.

But elect your representative with responsibility and care.

Elect persons of good character of integrity as your representative.

The true freedom will come into existence when all 543 members of parliament enjoy total and complete freedom.

MPs, you party can give you a ticket; but people cast their votes.
So, be responsible to the people of India.

People send you as their representative; as a mother send her son or daughter to the military for service to the nation.

Prime Minister is just an inflation.
Member of Parliament has the true value and power.
MP has the power to choose a PM.
People authorize their MPs with the power to choose the PM.

So, people has the power, now.
Soon, MPs will have the power.
MPs will have the power to appoint a PM.
MPs will also have the power to dismiss a PM.
