We cook food at home. To make good food, we go to market and carefully select the vegetables; or fish. We don't just close our eyes and buy the vegetables. We know; for good food preparation, we need good things and ingredients.
You cannot afford to ignore the quality of vegetables; then you cannot expect delicious food.
Each items do matter; salt; masala; vegetable or fish; water; heat; rice; wheat.
If you don't pay attention in the selection of these things, then how could expect a great performance in the parliament.
What is the use of complaining at a later stage about pepper spray or other chaotic conditions in the parliament.
Each MP counts.
Even one bad or rotten item in the food, will make the entire food unhealthy.
In democracy, it is our responsibility to choose the right person.
We don't need to worry about the Prime Minister. In fact, citizens do not have the right to choose the Prime Minister of India.
When we get that right, then we can act with great responsibility to elect the Prime Minister of India.
Let us now accept the fact, people of India have no right to elect the Prime Minister of India.
In fact, if any candidate declares as a Prime Minister candidate, it is morally considered as cheating.
That person may be disqualified by the Election Commission of India.
The truth is, this election is all about MP; that is Member of Parliament.
It doesn't make any sense.
Is it like, member of a club or association.
As a citizen, what is your role and responsibility to make that person as a Member of Parliament?
If that person wants to become a member of a club, let him pay their annual fee and become a member.
Why does that person come to you?
That is the question may naturally arise in the minds of the people of India.
The truth is, people of India elect this person as their representative; to represent them in the parliament.
Does it make sense?
Democracy is all about people. All people of India cannot go to the parliament; so we are sending our representative to the parliament.
Many persons would like to be our representative; so, we are now having this election.
Many may think that these candidates are representing their party in the parliament.
No. They are representing you. Your representative reflects the quality and character of you.
These candidates are not going to the parliament for their own business; they are not going there for their party business.
You are sending your representative to the parliament.
When your representative perform a wonderful service to the nation, the whole nation appreciates you.
When your representative get involved in shouting and yelling; and do pepper spray, it will be a shame on you.
As a mother sends her son or daughter to serve in the military; you are sending your representative to serve the nation.
It is not business; it is service.
In business scenario, people are like shareholders. Shareholders elect the board members. Board members draft the policy and executives will implement those policies. You may get your share of profit or loss.
Nation building is not a business. It is a service; similar to the military service.
When a mother sends her son or daughter to serve in the military, she doesn't calculate her share of profit. It is dedication.
You act with the responsibility of a mother who sends her son or daughter to the military.
Your representative to the parliament is the reflection of you.
You are electing this person and sending to the parliament; not to raise voice for you; not to bring your share of wealth back home.
You are electing this person and sending to the parliament to serve the nation.
Your representative; once elected, will be responsible for the entire nation.
Your representative will have the rights to develop the entire nation; also liable to destroy the nation.
So, ask yourself.
Will you let this person come home and have dinner with you?
Will you hire this person for a higher position in your office?
Will you respect this person?
It is not just another election.
This election is all about you.
Act with utmost care and responsibility.
