ஆடிய ஆட்டம் என்ன;
கூடிய கூட்டம் என்ன;
கூடுவிட்டு ஆவிபோனால், கூட வருவதென்ன

பூமி தாங்காது.
இன்னும் அதிகாரம் கைக்கு வரலை
அதுக்குள்ளே இத்தனை ஆட்டம்.

அதிகாரம் மட்டும் கைக்கு வந்துடுச்சுன்னா;
இவெங்க இரண்டு பேரையும் கையிலே புடிக்க முடியாது.

இவெங்க மேலே இருந்த கொஞ்ச நஞ்ச மரியாதையையும் இழந்துக்கிட்டு இருக்காங்க.

By-election for Allagadda assembly seat

Ms Nagireddy, 45, was critically injured after the car in which she was returning after campaigning last night swerved and overturned. She was sitting in the front seat and was thrown out of the car.

She died in a hospital in Hyderabad today of severe head injuries.

Ms Nagireddy was contesting from the Allagadda assembly seat in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, from where she had been elected four times. A mother of three children, she joined politics in 1996. She had been in Chandrababu Naidu's TDP and Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam Party earlier.

A by-election is an election held to fill a political office that has become vacant between regularly scheduled elections.

Usually, a by-election occurs when the incumbent has died or resigned. It may also occur when the incumbent becomes ineligible to continue in office, for example because of a recall, ennoblement, a serious criminal conviction, failure to maintain a minimum attendance, bankruptcy or mental incapacity.

By-elections have also been called as a result of a constituency election being invalidated by voting irregularities; see Oldham East and Saddleworth election petition.

Historically, members of some parliaments were required to seek re-election upon being appointed to a ministerial post. The subsequent by-elections were termed "ministerial by-elections". These by-elections were usually a formality as they were normally, but not always, uncontested by opposition parties. The requirement for Members of Parliament (MPs) to resign their seats and re-offer upon being appointed to Cabinet was done away with as an anachronism in most Westminster systems by the mid-20th century.

It is so sad. A human being died; but we are talking about by-election.

That is the current reality of humanity.

Death is no longer a sad news. It is considered as an opportunity for others to become a MP.

In software, this kind of unexpected events are considered as corner case or exceptions. We need to take care of these exceptional situations too.

We cannot ignore this case. If we continue the election in this constituency in the usual way; just by ignoring this death; that is not the right thing.

It should be considered as this dead has already been elected as an MP; so, we need to follow the by-election process.

For now, cancel the election for this constituency as a respect for the dead.

Then, later call for a fresh election in this constituency.

Otherwise, our politicians may start misusing this situation. They may involve in killing candidates; or even set the stage for accident and cause death to other candidates.

One cannot be declared, just because all others are dead.

Acting Prime Minister Narendra Modi

In the last two months, Narendra Modi has been the Acting Prime Minister of India.

Narendra Modi started his election campaign with a firm warning message to China.

Almost all; not only in India; from all around the world; people thought that Manmohan Singh has already gone home. Right now, Narendra Modi is the Acting Prime Minister of India.

In Bollywood movies, the director may tell Amitab Bachaan. Yes. You are the Prime Minister of the nation. When I say, "start action," then you need to feel like you are the Prime Minister of the nation and start speaking the dialogue.

In fact, Manmohan Singh has a very smooth exit. Manmohan Singh could not have imagined this kind of very clean exit.

In the beginning of 2014, Manmohan Singh might have thought that his reputation would be completely destroyed by this election campaign.

But, no one talked about Manmohan Singh's failure.  In fact, Manmohan Singh had given the best performance. In this kind of constitution, this is the best, any can deliver.

Manmohan Singh has to be very grateful to Narendra Modi. People had been busy in wearing the masks; listening to the cinematic dialogue; watching 3D and other entertainments. No body talked about good or bad performance of Manmohan Singh.

That is Satyameva Jayathe. Manmohan Singh didn't do any action against his conscience. In the recent years,  only a few demonstrated integrity of character in public life. Manmohan Singh is one of the few.

_____________________________________________________

India is a democratic country; anyone could be the Prime Minister.

It is nothing wrong for Narendra Modi to have an ambition to lead the nation.

But, when you watch Narendra Modi's actions; it is not clear; his actions are result of confusion.

Nowadays, through social media people express their feelings.

One said, "Yes. when Narendra Modi is in Bangalore, he said, it is Kaveri. Now, he is in Kasi, so he says Ganga."

Nobody now takes Narendra Modi seriously. Narendra Modi's speech are now comedy.

People do enjoy the performance of an actor in movies; likewise, people do watch Narendra Modi's live performance as an Acting Prime Minister.

Like movie directors select location and schedule their shooting, Amit Shah is the director, scheduled this shooting of Varanasi, on an election day in other states.

Watching the TV, people may think that their vote is a waste; Narendra Modi has already become the Prime Minister of India.

In fact, on the next election day, Narendra Modi will be taking oath from the President Pranab Mukerjee as the Prime Minister of India on the state at Red Fort, New Delhi.

Acting has been going on for more than two months.

In fact, acting started on September 13, 2013, when BJP announced Narendra Modi as their Prime Minister candidate.

Touching the feet of Advani is an acting.

Now, people may not aware of Narendra Modi's acting. People continue to trust his speeches.

But, almost all leaders realized his speeches are fake; his actions are not real; there is no truth in Narendra Modi.

Here is the list of leaders of India, realized the truth about Narendra Modi.

  • Lal Kishan Advani
  • Nitesh Kumar
  • Sushma Swaraj
  • Murli Manohar Joshi
  • Mamata
  • Jayalalitha
The list has been growing. All these leaders had faith and trust once. But they lost it later.

People may vote for Narendra Modi to become the Chief Executive of India.
But these leaders will stop Narendra Modi from becoming the Chief Executive of India.

Thanks to Ambedkar.
Indian constitution is all about leaders with integrity of character.
Indian Constitution was designed for those freedom fighters; they are of very high standard of character.

It works only for the real character; not for fake acting.

Acting comes to an end in few weeks.

BJP prepares roadmap for parliamentary polls in UP
It has been claimed that the BJP’s decision to name Narendra Modi as its prime-ministerial candidate, overruling the reservations voiced by veteran leader L.K Advani, was in deference to the feelings of the party cadre. I am reminded of the observation that “leaders spoil their followers who, in turn, spoil their leaders.”

In order to keep his supporters of militant Hinduism happy, Mr. Modi will never regret the killing of Muslims in the 2002 riots. By choosing a person who owes his popularity largely to his carefully chosen acts and speeches aimed at social polarisation, the BJP has taken an unwise decision.

___________________________________________________

The BJP’s official declaration that Mr. Modi, projecting himself as a development icon, is its prime ministerial candidate has put the party to test.

The BJP can win the 2014 election only if his development identity overshadows his image of a communal leader.
___________________________________________________

The BJP getting a majority in the general election appears a remote possibility. It will need at least 180-200 seats to form a coalition. Mr. Modi’s autocratic image poses a threat to his acceptability across party lines. What if Mr. Modi helps the BJP win 200 seats in 2014 but doesn’t get the acceptance of his coalition partners to lead? Will the party and the RSS choose another candidate as Prime Minister?
____________________________________________________

Narendra Modi may have been anointed the principal opposition party BJP’s prime ministerial candidate for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, but he does not seem to be in a hurry to relinquish his post as the Chief Minister of Gujarat and has not even named his successor.

The sources said Mr. Modi wants to consolidate Gujarat further, very much like Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and not “make the same mistake” that former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati made by travelling across the country after winning a record victory in the 2007 U.P. elections. “She abrogated the government to her bureaucrats and ministers, thinking she had a good chance to be the Prime Minister but that misfired,” a U.P. BSP leader told The Hindu.

At the Jamboree Grounds here on Wednesday, Mr. Advani maintained a foot’s distance from Mr. Modi, forcing BJP president Rajnath Singh to rush in to fill the gap, when all the leaders were encircled in a large garland. After Mr. Advani presented bouquets to State Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan and Mr. Modi, Mr. Chouhan reflexively touched the patriarch’s feet and was blessed by him as Mr. Modi looked on.

Mr. Modi then proceeded to touch Mr. Advani’s feet. The leader, who opposed Mr. Modi’s elevation as the Prime Ministerial candidate, ignored the gesture and returned to his seat. After the rally, Rajya Sabha MP Prabhat Jha told The Hindu, “Advani ji gave his ashirwad (blessings)to Modi ji after his speech.”

Mr. Advani, in his speech however, praised Gujarat for being the first State to grant continuous power supply to its villages. “In some programmes the speeches don’t matter as much the attendance... Where we have reached today is not just because of good speeches but due to work and tapasya (meditation and penance),” he said.

BJP has prepared an elaborate roadmap for the 80 parliamentary seats in Uttar Pradesh ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, party leaders said.

Senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday brainstormed in New Delhi on an action plan that they need to create to take maximum advantage of prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s goodwill among the masses.

During the meeting, Uttar Pradesh was divided into eight zones. Public rallies will be addressed by the Gujarat chief minister in all eight zones. The campaign will culminate in a massive rally in the state capital.

“The meeting under the chairmanship of party president Rajnath Singh has given us direction now. After apprising him with the situation in the state and getting guidance from him and party in-charge Amit Shah, we have to now become electorally strong,” said state BJP president Laxmikant Bajpayi.

Senior leaders will now consult party cadres and supporters and make a list of prominent people they want as contestants from Uttar Pradesh. Some leaders feel that famous personalities from various fields should be pitched in the state to gain maximum advantage.

Party insiders told IANS that there was unanimity that if the Gujarat chief minister contests from Uttar Pradesh, the party’s fortunes would definitely become better.

“While this is a matter that the party national leadership needs to take a call on, there is no doubt that there is support for Narendra bhai. If he chooses to contest from Uttar Pradesh, we will touch our past performances of the 1990s,” said a senior party leader.

“People are favouring Modi everywhere and Uttar Pradesh is no different. They see him (Modi) as someone who will usher in development and that is a path-breaking phenomenon as far as Uttar Pradesh politics is concerned,” said state BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak.

However, most riot victims and many people in the town here blame politicians for the violence.

"These are politically engineered riots to polarise voters ahead of next year's general elections," says Rajeshwar Dutt Tyagi, a senior lawyer in Muzaffarnagar.

Meanwhile, political parties have accused each other of starting the riots - India's main opposition Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party has blamed the ruling party in the state, Samajwadi Party which, in turn, has blamed leaders of opposition parties in the state, including the BJP, the regional Bahujan Samaj Party and India's governing Congress party.

In the last few days, at least three politicians have been arrested on charges of inciting violence through "inflammatory speeches".

Very well planned. Gujarat riot was an accident. Muzaffarnagar riot was politically engineered.
  • 2013 riots in Muzaffarnagar would nullify the 2002 Gujarat riots.
  • 2013 riots in Muzaffernagar would give an edge for an entry into UP
  • 2013 riots in Muzaffarnagar would bring down both Mulayam and Mayawati.
Had there been no election, there would not have been the riot in Muzaffarnagar.

Had any other person declared as a candidate, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah would not have taken this much risk.

Now, the end drama is in the stage at Varanasi.

Truth is such a powerful script.

சத்தியத்தை ரொம்ப சோதிக்கிறாங்க.

Lal Kishan Advani, right from the beginning, he was doing the right thing.

Reacting to the announcement of Narendra Modi as the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said wisdom had deserted the BJP and it was heading for a fall.

“One can only say this about them [BJP]: Vinaash kale viprit buddhi [When you are moving towards self-destruction, even your intellect deserts you],” Mr. Kumar said on the sidelines of a function on Saturday.

He said the decision of his party, Janata Dal (United), to pull out of the NDA in June stood vindicated. “What we anticipated three months ago is happening now. We took our decision at the right time,” he said.

The BJP hit back at Mr. Kumar for his comments. BJP leader and former State Minister Giriraj Singh said, “Time will tell whose wisdom has failed.”

In June, the ruling NDA split in Bihar after the JD(U) walked out of the alliance on the issue of Mr. Modi’s candidature. While in the NDA, Mr. Kumar had consistently opposed the move. Terming Mr. Modi a “divisive figure,” he had called for a “secular” candidate for the post of Prime Minister.

Delhi Model

Delhi Model

Clear separation of Executive and Legislative branches. Delhi Model is the model for the future.

Instead of appointment of a Governor,
let the people elect the Governor of a state.

This is the first time since 2001 that a Lt Governor held a meeting at the Secretariat. He directed the Jal Board, the Power Department and the Municipalities to gear up for the summer and leave no stone unturned to ensure proper delivery of services.

_____________________________________________________

With peak summer approaching, Delhi’s Lieutanant Governor on Wednesday stressed upon the need for formulating steps for regulating supply of water and directed the Power department to set up a 24×7 control room and publicise the numbers of those responsible for specific areas for quick redressal of public grievances.

“The most critical issues for summer are adequate supply of water, uninterrupted supply of power, and municipal functions being robust. There must be proper delivery of these three services to the people of Delhi, especially in the summer. All Secretaries must take it upon themselves to ensure that there is delivery on these fronts and there should be fixing of responsibility for non-delivery of services,” Lt governor Najeeb Jung said during a meeting at Secretariat on Wednesday.

This is the first time since 2001 that a Lt Governor held a meeting at the Secretariat. He directed the Jal Board, the Power Department and the Municipalities to gear up for the summer and leave no stone unturned to ensure proper delivery of services.

“The control rooms set up by these departments during the summer months must be manned 24×7. The response time to queries must be prompt and information must be disseminated properly and shared widely with the public so that they are aware of ground situation,” said Jung.

The Lt Governor was informed by Secretary (Power) that the department is developing a mechanism to redress the complaints from the public which go unheeded by DISCOMs. The Secretary (Power) requested police assistance/CISF of about 100 people to power department for curbing theft and for conducting raids and checks. He also informed that regular meetings are being conducted with DISCOMs for providing uninterrupted power supply to the people.

Taking a review of the Power department, Jung said, “While we must ensure uninterrupted power supply to all, we must be particularly attentive to the poor since they are the most vulnerable, especially during the peak summer months.”

He directed the power department to set up a control room and publicise the numbers of those responsible for specific areas for quick re-dressal of public grievances. He also directed the power department to deploy field staff to monitor the ground situation, including that of theft and wastage.
The department also plans to give advertisements in newspapers and broadcast radio jingles telling about the control room and its number for the information of the people.

The CEO of Delhi Jal Board informed Jung that DJB is planning to replace fleet of 121 tankers, reducing spillage of water during transport by tankers. Addressing the problem of contaminated overflowing of sewage and contamination of drinking water in Ambedkar Nagar area has been kept on priority by DJB.

Delhi Jal Board is facing shortage of JEs/ZROs and about 700 vacancies are lying vacant, and DJB is exploring the possibility to appoint 300 JEs and retired employees on contract basis during summer season.

Jung today took a review meeting of Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and HODs of various departments. Commissioner of Food and Civil Supplies, while giving presentation, said that the department has 70 field offices which are regularly providing services to the people.

The department has weeded out 21000 bogus cards. Special drives have been organized to enroll homeless under Food Security Act. The department has engaged staff on honorarium basis for verification of cards. The process of verification will be completed by the end of July this year.

Reviewing the functioning of the municipalities Jung directed the municipalities to ensure that there are proper toilet facilities in slums and resettlement colonies. “These are basic human rights. Every resident of the city of Delhi must at least be extended this basic facility by the municipality of the city,” Jung said.

Taking a strong view about encroachments on drains and nallahs, Jung said that the city needs to gear up for the monsoon and the exercise of de-silting needs to be completed by mid May. He directed that encroachments on drains and nallahs be removed forthwith.

Ladies challenge Narendra Modi

Jashodaben What explains a secret wife? According to Jashodaben's accounting, she and Modi were married when they were 17 and 18 due to an arrangement between their parents. They were a couple for three years before separating, with Modi reportedly going to travel the Himalayas, and never coming back.

‘Abki baar Modi Sarkar’, the BJP’s main slogan this election, has undergone a slight change in Sushma Swaraj’s constituency to restore parity between the two leaders.

Workers and people who attend her roadside rallies sport stickers with the tweaked slogan
‘Sushma Swaraj Fir Ek Baar;
Ab Bhajapa ki Modi Sarkar’.

The bigger, round-shaped stickers pasted on some cars, carry the same message that Swaraj gives in her speeches: “Modi is the official PM candidate declared by the party”.

While other leaders like Rajnath Singh never shy away from calling Modi the most popular choice, Swaraj makes the distinction that he is the party’s candidate. She does not name him in every rally though.

The backdrop to her rallies, after she filed her nomination papers, is provided by posters that read: ‘Bhajapa Lao Desh Bachao’ with equal space to the photographs of Modi and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Before she filed her nomination, she would rarely mention Modi while addressing workers’ conventions, and stress on ‘Mission 29’ and to increase her victory margin to four lakh to make her the ‘number one’ parliamentarian.

She still talks of the margin, but seeks votes citing Modi’s decision-making ability, Chouhan’s popularity and the failures of the Congress-led UPA.

Sonia feels comfortable as others are challenging Narendra Modi.

"His (Modi) becoming a Prime Minister is a fantasy. So, I don't need to answer this hypothetical question," Ms Banerjee told PTI in an interview here when asked whether she expected better financial treatment in the event of Modi becoming the Prime Minister.

"The Federal Front is the future. A Federal Front government will be formed after the elections," Banerjee, the Trinamool Congress chief, said.

She said, "Let me give you an example of how the Congress and BJP say something and do something else. They have talked about 33 per cent reservation for women in the Women's Reservation Bill. Do you know what percentage of their candidates are women?"

The BJP has only 8 per cent women candidates and the Congress has 14 per cent. Trinamool Congress is proud to have 27 per cent women candidates. We do not make false promises in our manifesto. Our manifesto is for the people, of the people and by the people," she said describing the manifesto as 'sacred'.

Almost all ladies now challenge Narendra Modi.

Innovations in Pakistan

Democracy is flowering in Pakistan

As a nation, we face challenges, some of them undeniably tough, like the threat of extremism, a troubled economy, a growing drug problem, and most recently, a humanitarian crisis of unimaginable proportions. However, through all this, one thing remains intact and that is our democracy. The resilience of our democracy is not found at the hands of one individual or one office. Rather it takes root in our parliament, our judiciary, our army, our media, and most of all, our people.

Traditionally, the ballot box has been the democratic niche of the Pakistani people. However innovations in technology have allowed for new ways for people to be engaged in the democratic process on a more dynamic and frequent basis. This is where our new president.gov.pk website comes in to play.

Our efforts on this new site will centre around three priorities:

Dialogue- A democratic official finds his or her strength as a leader through interaction with the people. Through interactive elements of the website such as Facebook, YouTube, and Flickr, we intend to foster meaningful dialogue between the President and the public.

Information - The issues facing Pakistan such as our war against terror, economic reforms, and domestic politics require a source of reliable and up-to-date information. This website will feature timely and detailed content on the President's efforts including recent Press Releases, Recent News, Multimedia, and of course, this blog. Keeping the public informed is a fundamental pillar of our government, and this website will allow us to constantly share our efforts, initiatives, policies, and activities with the citizens and the international community.

Global Engagement- This website is not intended for a domestic audience only. It is also intended to engage the international community by understanding Pakistan's complex reality. Terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, and organized crime need to be seen in terms of their root causes. They thrive on ignorance, deprivation and poverty. Countries need greater cooperation to effectively tackle them.

This website will continue to be a work in progress as we develop new features and content. We would like to hear from you. What would you like to see on this website? If you have an idea, let us know.

______________________________________________________
If you have an idea, let us know....

Pakistan is a work in progress...

If you have an idea, let us know.
Pakistan welcomes you...

You have developed India.
Now, you shall develop Pakistan.

Pakistan understands your language.
Pakistan understands your culture.
Pakistan enjoys Bollywood movies.
Pakistan plays Cricket.

In so many ways, India is connected with Pakistan.

Founding fathers of Pakistan fought against the British for the freedom of India.

It's time for unite and work together for the people of India and Pakistan.

People of India and People of Pakistan are human beings.
